The bpk Photo Agency ceased operations as of June 30, 2026.
The institution’s significant collection of analog photographs has been integrated into the “Press and Images” department of the Berlin State Library as the “bpk Photo Archive.” The collection is being preserved and expanded in a manner appropriate to the times, and selected items are being made digitally accessible to scholars, researchers, and the interested public. Images from the historical photo archive will continue to be available for reuse in the future. All usage rights you have already acquired remain valid until the end of their term. After the granted rights have expired, please contact the institutions responsible for the collections. The names of our partner institutions are listed in the metadata of the files we provide as image source references. Questions regarding invoices already issued by the bpk Photo Agency can be directed to the bpk Photo Archive: bpk-fotoarchiv@sbb.spk-berlin.de.
